The Executive Signal System

How senior leaders are read shapes what they are trusted with next.

The Executive Signal System is The Positioning House methodology for identifying how an executive’s leadership is being interpreted and where that interpretation may differ from how the executive is actually operating.

Five signals combine to shape conclusions about executive trust, scope, authority, and readiness.

The Work

Executive education, advisory, and organizational work.

The Positioning House works with executives on what their experience and current position are producing, the decisions in front of them, and how their leadership is being understood. We work with organizations on how senior talent is evaluated, prepared, and understood.

The Executive Signal System sits underneath much of this work, helping us understand how leadership is being interpreted and what that interpretation affects.

Executive Education

Proprietary executive education from The Positioning House.

Our education is the core of the company. It teaches executives how senior leadership is evaluated, how authority and reputation are formed, and how to operate deliberately through selection, organizational change, and the decisions that set up the next stage of a career.

It is built from the same methodology used in private advisory and inside organizations, structured so executives can study it directly and apply it repeatedly.

Private Executive Advisory

A 90-day private engagement for the decisions that set the next stage.

A small number of executives work with Alicia directly while they are thinking through important decisions, changing conditions, and what they want their authority, reputation, and position to build next.

The engagement is by application.

The Executive Read

How strategic leaders stop being overlooked.

How organizations make decisions about leaders, and what experienced leaders need to understand about how their work, judgment, and value are evaluated.

About Alicia

I have seen these decisions from both sides.

I spent more than 15 years in recruiting, executive placement, and talent management, where I saw how leaders were discussed, evaluated, selected, promoted, and underestimated behind closed doors.

Since then, I have advised more than 400 leaders on how their experience is understood, what authority and opportunity it is producing, and how to evaluate what their current position should make possible next.

I founded The Positioning House to turn that experience into practical tools, systems, and advisory support senior leaders can use throughout their careers. I am also the author of The Executive Read.
